NAN 2013  *  Harrisburg, PA
June 21-23, 2013
My good friend Tracy and her husband Andy packed up our models and made the 2,743 mile drive from the San Francisco Bay Area
to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in their trusty Prius for the North American National (NAN) Championships!
I took the easier route and flew in to meet them.

The NAN Hall on Friday
i have just started competing in the Performance division and this was my first time to try to show Performance at NAN.
I only took 2 models for 3 classes, and was there mostly to learn.
So imagine my delight when I earned a Top Ten for my little Egg and Spoon race...
And then was completely blown away when I won a National Championship with my Western Pleasure Stock entry!
My entry was completely outclassed in the Scene but it was fun  anyway.
Sunday was China Day and both Tracy and I had so much fun meeting a wonderful group of china collectors that previously we
had only met online... this time we got to meet face to face. And we drooled on their beautiful china models all day!

It was a good day!   I took 16 models to Harrisburg and ended up with 17 Top Tens
1 National Champ and 2 Reserve Champs
Tracy's ratio was even better!
She had only 6 chinas showing and ended up with 2 National Champions and a Reserve.
Her RW Suffolk won a plaque in 2 categories - OF Breed and OF Collectibility!

All in all it was a really fun trip! Tracy and Andy toured around for a few more days,
then dodged tornados on their way home but arrived safe and sound.

*Maybe* we'll do it again sometime!
